HAPPY NEW YEAR
Dec. 31st, 2006 09:16 pmI have no idea if I'll be awake at midnight here. My fingertips are noticing that I just repaired, hemmed, and decorated my daughter's purple dress for three hours today without a thimble (yes, I'm going to buy one tomorrow). It worked nicely, though, and looks like a whole different dress, and I'll try to post a photo when I can this week. It's nice to actually finish a project, since most of mine went undone or unfinished this non-vacation.
Wishes for the new year?
That I pass the five hour test I'm taking in a few weeks to update my teaching creds...that I'll find a good job for next year when I go out interviewing this spring, and one I'll be at for a long time...that my daughter's health continues to stay mostly improved...that my husband gets the tuition grant he wants so that he can become a teacher...that my mom and sister's health stabilizes...that there will be lots of music in my life as always...that I actually begin to get enough sleep. Yeah, that last one won't happen anytime soon, but I can wish.
Hugs to everyone reading this, my dears. Your support and friendship, even long-distance and unseen means a lot to me, and may your new year bring you joy and love.
