Three nice things...
Jan. 11th, 2009 05:44 pmI heard by email from my best friend from high school and college - we drifted apart for awhile due to family, work, and being in different areas, but it was so very nice to be back in touch. We may not have time to write ten page handwritten letters anymore (!) but the occasional email will work, I bet.
I've missed my heartbrother.
We found a videotape of my daughter when she was one month old, at 7 months, and then at 1 year. I didn't know we had it, so I supposed we got it from his parents and then packed it away at some point. Sadie giggled a lot watching it, and loves that it shows her being held and played with by her great-grandparents, whom she misses a lot. I think we'll be putting that on a DVD soon to preserve it.
My husband is in the kitchen making arroz con pollo (a chicken with saffron rice and peas that my mom learned to make whilst a student in Madrid many years ago) - it's our family's favorite comfort food, oddly enough.
