simultaneous relief and anger
Mar. 13th, 2009 06:39 pmNot getting a pink slip. (I was told this today) Which considering the news tonight, with protests in pink all over the state of CA, is a good thing. I feel really, really lucky right now. I know people who got theirs, and stress is not helping morale right now at work. One teacher interviewed on the news made the valid point about not funding education leading to more crimes/prisoners/recidivism.
So I can maybe work part time for a bit this summer to earn some money and actually have a little vacation.
Which sounds really nice, as I have the start of a really lovely migraine, either from plain allergies, a sinus infection, or a reaction to whatever they just sprayed on the berry fields in the area in which I work. Whimper...
For a giggle, our 5 year old neighbor knocked on the door around 4:30. "Hi, is she home? Can she play? I got new squirt guns!" *oh dear*
