*greetings from the flu ward*
Sep. 27th, 2009 01:03 pmAh, the joys of not being able to get an influenza vaccination. In other words, all the helpful kids and teachers who've come to school sick this past week - someone shared. I'm upright, at least, if a tad dizzy, still. Bleh. I may have been ill for several days without knowing it, as I thought I had a sinus infection that was getting worse. Don't know which version of the flu I got, don't particularly care. Hopefully, I'll be able to go back to work tomorrow morning. We'll see...
It's ironic, really. Due to asthma and a partially functioning immune system, I'm on the list of people who should get the shot, but since I am allergic to eggs, I can't. And the new version are grown in egg, too. So I'm all out of luck, as usual. On the bright side, my husband had made a large batch of chicken broth and frozen it a couple of weeks ago, so I've had lots of soup. Sigh...
