songspinnerGoodness. I won a MEFA! After the week I've had, that was such a lovely way to wake up this morning. Thanks to all those on my friends list and the rest who wrote those beautiful reviews. That meant a great deal to me as a writer and makes me feel glad that I had the time this year to put in some reviews of my own. Rhapsody, Marigold, Dreamflower, and Pearl Took, special thanks for your words that made me all teary-eyed.
Now I just need to get past this next week to winter vacation so I have energy and time to write again, having missed yet another of Marigold's challenges, darn it.
The big concert is this weekend. Saturday is all in Irish Gaelic and Sunday is mostly in Irish except for my ensemble's set in the middle (English, for an amazing change, and a Ladino solo for me). My throat is telling me to rest for a day or two, and my feet demand that I switch to flats for this gig. It's starting to sound really good at rehearsal now, which is a relief.
