Jan. 16th, 2007 11:12 pmAh. Rain. The temperature just rose five degrees outside, apparently. Perhaps I'll be able to feel my fingers when I'm driving to work tomorrow morning.
8:30 this morning, school starts.
8:45 power goes out
9:00 office says if the power's not on by 10, kids go home
9:01 kids start watching clock, most unsubtly
9:55 (I'm not kidding), the power goes back on. Kids all up and down the hall are heard groaning and screaming in disappointment, as well as several teachers, who were probably planning to go home and take a nap or something. :)
On a cold related note, a pair of mourning doves is now building a nest this week outside the window to my left. Not the best timing. Darwin's theory of evolution in action? Hmmm...
