Apr. 6th, 2007 08:53 pmTired. We had a belated Passover seder dinner tonight, as most of us were still recovering from illness earlier this week. Highlights?
My daughter read the Four Questions part of the service (in English). It's the first time she has had the reading fluency to do this and she only needed help from Grandma with a couple of big words. Her dad and I were just holding hands and beaming on the other side of the table the whole time.

Me: "Who needs a rice matzah?" (half our family is allergic to wheat)
Daughter: "ME, ME, ME!"
My dad: "What did the ancient Israelites do if they were allergic to matzah?"
My mom: (sighs and rolls her eyes) "Let's not start that."
Me: "Okay, so we now sing...oh drat. I can't remember more than the first two lines of this song."
My sister: "I remember the first three."
Me: "Oh, good. That's so much better."
My sister: "I can still hear music from somewhere..."
My dad: "It might be from next door."
My sister: "Maybe we're Cylons."
I have such a geeky family! :)
