songspinner3 Months of Rehearsals.
Singing Tenor, Alto, and Soprano in the same concert. (that's how our director introduced me to the audience after an quintet number - "L, singing alto. And soprano. And tenor.")
Singing both with the Irish choir and the guest ensemble two nights in a row.
The after-party is probably still going, but it's a school night for all three of us.
My feet hurt, my head is all stuffed up from the smoke from everyone's fireplaces tonight outside, and I've hit that weird sort of exhausted *down* one gets after all the work is done.
On the happier side, both instrumental guests (one is a nationally/world-known harpist) expressed their appreciation in our performance and an interest in collaborating again, and soon. :) And our director loved my solo during our guest spot, so I feel better about that. And I got to sing in concert alongside my husband for the first time since college, so that was just cool.
I'll miss this all until next August, when planning begins anew. Singing again next weekend for something completely different, so off to the next project. After I sleep.
