Love the opening - somehow, as a singer, it makes me feel better to see someone that talented and seemingly relaxed in front of an audience get totally nervous and pacing and vocally tight just before he goes on stage. Makes me feel that it's definitely a normal thing. Sigh.

1. How much courage did he have to gather to do this? I could see it in his face a lot through this, when he'd find out information and it affected him so much. Clearly comfortable with who he is, but wanting to understand it all makes a lot of sense when society throws so much crap at anyone who's different. The bit that really highlighted that for me was when the scientists basically agrees that it's how one is "hardwired from birth" and John is trying not to break down - he says it's not even about himself, but that so many people have essentially gone through so much hell for being just who they are. That says more to me about him as a person than any interview I've ever seen with him where he discussed being gay.

2. Good grief - he's not kidding! Put that man with his parents and his Scottish accent's as thick as David Tennant's!!! :) Sounds lovely, and showed that it really is his natural accent, not the American one. And they're so sweet as well - kidding around and smooching on camera, and being so honest about how they reacted to John's coming out at the age of 25.

3. MRI tubes - yeah, having heard his explanation of his claustrophobia from Comic-con, I can see where he'd have issues with doing that particular test. The whole time the guy's commenting from the radiology booth that John's moving around too much, I kept thinking, "well, duh", and then John gets out and admits to having a panic attack at the start...poor man. No one in my family does well in MRI's either.

4. That interview with the man who'd almost gone through a complete "deprogramming" - a horrible and extremely graphic description and it rather makes one feel like crying and throwing up, both of which John looked like he was thinking of doing at one point. I had to stop the video for a moment when the man described seeing the "doctor" later, I was so angry.

5. Scott and John in the taxi - ah, it's not just my own sweetheart who can't remember schedules for the life of him. :) Heh... Such a content partnership, though - that's always nice to see.

I truly hope a few people who see that film will think where they haven't before, and that a few people out there can feel better about themselves. John Barrowman has made such a strong point with this and again, anytime he speaks about being out and strong; he's a great role model, and not just for the GLBT communities, but all.
