songspinnerOh, for cryin' out loud. Now it's "Obama went to a party where there was this guy, and since the guy was a Palestinian, he must be from the PLO, and there was a girl who read a poem that criticized governments, so she must be a terrorist - and wait, that means Obama is!"
Riiiiight...and free speech is what? Where? And may I add that there were reps from the PLO on my college campus that put out a table of information at the same event my Jewish charity group was there...does that make me a terrorist? Really? Do people really believe this stuff?!!!!
Sadly, the answer to that last question is yes, apparently, they do in some cases. This is so frustrating.
Obama's response? "I don't know what's next. By the end of the week, he'll be accusing me of being a secret communist because I shared my toys in kindergarten. I shared my peanut butter and jelly sandwich."
I'm really glad I'm performing election night, 'cause then I won't be fretting myself into total migraines that night, at least not until I get home and turn on CNN. Not being partisan as a teacher in a history class is so flipping hard right now. I don't tell kids who I vote for until the day after the election, and most of the guesses they've had are right. Gee, I wonder how they can tell? :)
