Not literally in the garden, although I did trim back some things this morning, and was pleased to see some of the herbs growing back as well as the aloe plant dividing and spreading, and a few things have reseeded themselves. (Bells of Ireland, culinary sage, chocolate mint) A break for lunch was interrupted by the neighbor's kitten pouncing on our feet and hands for a while and my daughter running over to show us salamanders and bugs.

Inroads in cleaning today. We're also putting things together for donating in the morning to a local thrift place we frequent (all the money goes to charity, as do many of the items). Treated myself to chicken livers and apple for lunch, all caramelized and put on crackers - haven't had that in a while! Clearly I was craving iron. Yup, that's my excuse.

A huge pot of chicken soup so dinner was a very nice thing tonight as the temperature continues to drop toward typical November/December. Yum...my husband makes good soup and all of my little Jewish grandmothers are quite proud wherever they are now. :)

And on a bright and very relieved note, my mammogram came back fine. Sheesh, that took long enough.

Sounds like you had a very lovely day, one of the last days of Fall.

Carmelized chicken livers and apple? Never heard of such a dish.

I'm glad your mammogram came out fine! That's a relief. Um... I'm having trouble picturing chicken and crakers. And chicken liver? *shakes head* What is it you guys eat over there in the States, lol? Crackers are for cheese as far as I know. Or perhaps jam. ;) But hey, each to his or her own. ;)
