Underwater exploration...

Woah. We didn't just get to see otters and giant tuna and huge sea turtles and puffins yesterday...turns out kids ages 8- 12 can (for a rather reasonable fee this summer) DIVE/SNORKEL in the Great Tide Pool at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I am SO jealous. So instead of leaving at lunch, we stayed, and I have a zillion pics of my daughter putting on her fleece layer and drysuit, and going into the water and exploring. Wow. They teach them the basics and even give the kids an underwater explorer certificate at the end with their photo on it. She was happy and exhausted afterward and totally fell asleep in the car on the way home. :)
