songspinnerLooooong week. I hate working while I try to recover from colds. I almost have a voice today, now. Lots of homemade soup and tea for me and for my daughter; we sound rather like identical frogs.
Got a lot done today, though. I finished the invitation design for the B'nei Mitzvot and all that is left is the printing tomorrow and then the sending. Called flower shops to get pricing. For those only list who don't know, my daughter's bat mitzvah (Jewish coming of age ceremony) is coming up at the start of December. And my husband is sharing it with her, as he did not have one as a kid due to conversion as an adult. I'm proud of both of them...they study hard and are tickled to be sharing in a class where he is the only adult. There were several sets of twins and cousins who shared this past year, so they won't be alone. I don't think a father and daughter have ever shared the ceremony at this synagogue, though. So, LOTS of planning and decisions to make. Flowers and food and invites and I'm making the prayer shawl for her with the help of a friend.
