Odd note -
Took my daughter to her Irish ceili dance workshop. They didn't have an even number of dancers and I know the teacher, so I got drafted to learn the steps. Yikes! I haven't done anything choreographed in dance in oh, about 16 years? I managed to figure it all out, and it was fun doing it with her, but oh, are my feet and calves gonna complain tomorrow morning...I think I'll blink my eyelashes at my husband and sweetly ask for a foot massage... I'm usually in the group playing music for set dances, so this is definitely giving me an appreciation for the other side.

Overheard five minutes ago in our living room...

Daughter: I'm hungry.
Husband: So what do you want for dessert?
Daughter: I don't know.
Husband: Pick something.
Daughter: Ummmmm....a....
Husband: A shrubbery!
Daughter: Huh? *starts laughing*

I think he's just waiting until she's old enough for Monty Python...

Sigh.

And we tried but couldn't see the comet tonight, which she insists on calling "the big ball of ice in space."

Maybe tomorrow, if we can find where we put away the telescope.
