Jul. 3rd, 2007 10:11 pmOkay, I stayed home from the baseball game/fireworks in the Bay Area as I hate loud noises and crowds. I am now sitting here listening to and feeling someone's one-day-early-and-illegal fireworks literally shaking the building. To quote my kid, "it's fine if I know it's coming up soon, but not when I don't expect it". *grumble* The 4th of July is NOT a one-week event people, and this is the fourth or fifth night of this.
Also, my day started off with one of the kids in my summer school class startling a juvenile skunk that was in a garbage can outside the building. It wasn't happy. He ended up going home after getting skunk-sprayed in the face. Sigh. I should be grateful it wasn't me, I guess.
Tired now, throat sore from allergies, and my feet hurt from dance rehearsal (Highland Games, which I got dragged into - I much prefer playing percussion for the dancers). I feel a sense of accomplishment, but I can tell I'll be feeling it tomorrow. Hot tub, maybe?
