Weekend Excursions
Sep. 3rd, 2007 04:45 pmBack from Davis and the Sacramento Valley, where it it was 107 degrees or so. (I really, really don't miss living there...)
Loaded the back of the truck with goodies from my parents: two cube bookcases for my children's book collection (being repainted as I type this) and my 30 year old dollhouse to be repainted and designed by myself and my daughter (we also snagged the box of things that used to be in it). My dad got a good laugh at seeing me on the floor playing with stuff in that box...
The drive back was punctuated with shopping, as it was the only day we had to do so this week.
Shoes for the kidlet. (white sandals with hearts on them, yet)
Various useful clothing for school and teaching.
7 yards of rayon-mix fabric that looks/drapes just like soft linen - teal blue-green (SCORE!)...plans for the Roman costume to be sewn later this week
No shoes for me, however, as the "newest" innovations in shoe design are exactly what my doctor told me not to buy. Sigh. Still looking.
Off to grade and sort far too many middle school assignments.
