(no subject)

My little sister is awesome. Just had to say that because - she was wandering by a used bookstore that was going out of business and found for me : a tiny, leather-bound diary from 1893! It was a written by a little girl (9 or 10 years old, perhaps) and is absolutely hysterical and fascinating at the same time. Lots of typical entries, but enough to pinpoint where she lived and who she played with, etc. Primary sources are so incredible. Sigh. I'll have to share this one with my students once I've transcribed the entries.
