Happy Birthday, surgicalsteel! Many happy returns of the day! 40 is cool - I look forward to it, actually. A friend of mine took her 40th birthday and had a 1940's swing dance party. :) I hope your birthday surprise from your sweetie is a lovely one (I'm sure it will be) and that you have a good day.

Despite getting back around 9:30 p.m. from a family gathering, my husband and I decided to watch the Doctor Who Series 2 outtakes from our new DVD set (my family does have good taste in presents). Oh, dear. So fun and so odd to hear David Tennant's actual accent!

Off to do lots of housecleaning and exciting stuff like that. Possibly with a short shopping break to go find a good deal on the latest Harry Potter DVD. Darling daughter wants to watch the first one this week - gee, darn. What a chore... ;)

Little one has a cold and spent the day curled up alternately reading and playing her new computer game toy. And then watching the first Harry Potter movie with us - except the next to last scene, which she said was too scary and could we please skip the bit with the fight,'cause it was just icky? Heh. She liked the rest of it, though, and it was fun watching her connect it to the book and get all excited about things. Especially owls and Dumbledore, apparently. And Ron. That's my girl... :)
