Jan. 18th, 2008 07:01 pmOkay, I admit it. No spoilers, so don't panic if you're so inclined. I didn't wait and so I watched Torchwood, season 2, episode one on Youtube today and yesterday, in ten minute bits. I refuse to feel guilty however, as I'll undoubtedly be spending far too much money later this year when I buy season 1 and eventually season 2. :) Anyway, I didn't want to watch the BBC America version first, as it will undoubtedly be censored all oddly.
I made cobbler with organic pippin apples and organic strawberries (the berries had been previously frozen). Yum. Daughter is happily chowing down on a bowl of it while watching a DVD of "The Electric Company".
Three day weekend now, with at least 10 hours of grading papers and tests, so not much actual break. Still, it's nice. And I can finish the Torchwood fic I was doing when I have a moment or two.
Oh, for a giggle, link here to my little sister's blog on Slate regarding American Idol...she's a nationally known expert on the show as an ethnomusicologist (oh my, she's so happy being snarky):

Late added note: there was scrabbling outside just now - turned on the porch light to see a rather fat skunk waddling across the yard. Uh-oh. They're baaaack...
