Not in the least part due to the big sisters/friends in my vocal group surprising me last night. Usually, we have one rehearsal a month when we celebrate a couple of birthdays at a time. And I, because of food allergies, can't ever have the cake (which I actually don't mind - I'm used to eating before party or later on). But one of these lovely women was in a conspiracy with my sweetie and made a gluten-free, milk-free, egg-free (yes it tasted good) cake for me that I could have. No one has done that for me since my wedding, when there was a little separate cake I could eat. I'm not sure they know how much that meant to me last night, but I hope I let them know clearly.
