A good day...

* My little sister was offered and accepted a professorship! (although she's moving halfway across the country *whimper*, it's a great job, they're paying her to move, and she'll have a lighter teaching load, so less stress and better health)

* "In the Heights" won for best play at the Tony Awards last night, and the creator of the show did his entire acceptance speech for best original score as a rap number! :) And a good one, too!

* got through the first day of summer school in one piece

* talked to my daughter, who is having fun at her grandma and grandpa's for a few days - it's awfully quiet around here, but she's apparently having a good time and getting swim lessons

* There is a bird soap opera outside the window at the feeder - battles, mating, feeding babies, territorial disputes - and at least four kinds of sparrows and finches

Now if the sinus headache would go away, I'd be even happier...
