Dec. 30th, 2008 02:50 pmOkay, on the third try to get family together at our place (rescheduled due to daughter being sick, and then me), now my husband is sick, which I suppose was inevitable. Sigh. So apparently there was a curse placed on this attempt at a dinner. At least it's over break.
And the leak from the dishwasher is going to require a section of wall to be ripped out and redone, as it caused mold. Which is a household with weird immune systems, is really, really bad. It is not, I hope, related to the getting sick part mentioned previously. We could really use that money the government promised and didn't deliver. Like, now.
On the brighter side? The car is fixed and working again. We found a proper skateboard for my daughter, with accompanying safety equipment, on sale. And I used a gift certificate to get myself a new Moroccan drum...not the best, but good sound and I barely had to pay for it, so a good deal.
