1. getting hugged by three lovely young women before each rehearsal and performance (our "hug patrol" consisted of three dancers in the village scenes - all three have Down Syndrome and are kind, compassionate, and often quite silly :)
2. for the first time in my life as a drummer, creating a piece from scratch for a pair of dancers
and honing it - feeling a loop of feedback each night we did that scene, as what I did fed their emotions as actors and dancers and what they did cued my intensity
3. the hush as we finished the last note of the last song, as the audience sort of held its breath
