Three months of intense work in music and language, two concerts, aaaaaaaaaand....we're done.
Tonight's concert was much tighter in sound for the choir, which was nice, and apparently my solo during the guest spot in the middle came out well despite my being my own worst critic. The piece during which I played bodhran went well, and I felt like I actually got inspired in my drumming after watching the two guys in the "Celtic Women" concert on PBS this afternoon. And the Irish choir director paid me a compliment about the solo, which meant a lot coming from her.
Next year should be fun now that we know what we're doing. :)
And now, I will attempt to rest up for the last week of school before winter vacation. Yikes! Wired fifth graders.
