How did you meet 5?
I'm not entirely sure, but I'm fairly sure it had something to do with a post about Lost! :) She was on someone else's flist and after reading a post or two, I thought "I need to friend this person and keep reading!"
Are 1 and 12 friends? If not, should they be?
Both write fic in the realms of Tolkien, but I do not think they've met. Both are very sweet ladies, though, and would probably bond at least over the fics...
If you had a whole day to spend with 8, what would you do together?
Probably talk about teaching 5th graders, first, and then about our mutual love of music. Find out how many books from my copious home library we have in common. I'd want to show
musesrealm the beautiful ocean, beaches, and forests near my home, and probably go to a Celtic jam session that evening if we timed it right.
What language(s) does 3 speak?
English, German, some Spanish, some Hebrew, odd words in about 8 other languages, I suspect, and not all of them swearwords, even. :) Has a tendency to answer the phone in other languages if he knows it's a telemarketer.
Tell me something interesting you've learned about 2.
ansothehobbit has something of the same love/impatience relationship with family that I have with mine. So nice to know I'm not alone in that.
Is 11 a religious person?
Unknown. Definitely spiritual, as her fics and her posts show that she understands that side of life.
Does 9 have a significant other?
Don't know, but she loves her cats. And trust me, that counts!
Have you ever met 4 in real life?
No, but that would be neat, as so many of her fan interests seem to coincide with mine.
Do you know 6's real name?
Nope! To quote the person who started me on this, "Hmm, I thought she mentioned it.. once..."
Where does 10 live?
Santa Clara Valley, CA, and right near
thuri. And a half hour or so away from me. :)
Who on your friends list would get along well with 7?
I can honestly say #3,
axolotl9, as I know that when he found her SGA fics, he started joking back and forth with her about military stuff and puns via email.

Date: 2006-12-18 06:09 pm (UTC)Actually, if it wasn't for Marigold, I don't think I would have kept on writing. She is the most fantastic, encouraging, loving, caring and warm person I ever met. I'd love to meet her and that was initially planned for the Tolkienmoot next year in Scotland, but I can't afford to go :(

You don't say? :P
And Marigold is the reason I started writing in the first place. She's great!

Date: 2006-12-20 02:29 am (UTC)And I wrote before I found her online, but hadn't in quite a while. She rekindled my enthusiasm, one might say.

Date: 2006-12-19 11:44 pm (UTC)Oceans! Beaches! I haven't seen those in way to long. And a Celtic Jam! How about one of those on a beach on the edge of a forest? :D
