......any coherent review of book 7 will have to wait until Monday or so, I guess.

Well, I cried four times. Not sobbing, just that painful reaction thing with eyes tearing up.

Hedwig. Fred. Dobby. Tonks and Remus.

I didn't mind the epilogue (although I gather that some didn't like it), although I would have appreciated knowing where Luna was and how George was doing. How Harry was being godfather to Teddy. What Percy ended up doing later. The part that took my breath away for some reason was the moment that we "heard" Harry use Albus Severus' full name.

Amazingly brilliant stuff:
Almost anything Ron and Neville said or did.
Hermione going by instinct combined with intellect.
Draco's wand and his being saved by the trio.
I loved finally getting it clear how good of a team Hermione and Harry could be when they were on their own for a bit.
That Ron and Hermione's arms were the first around Harry at the end of the battle.
Snape being Dumbledore's man.
The trio on the run, scrounging for food and living in a tent.
Harry walking to the final battle surrounded by the those loving spirits.
Mrs. Weasley going after Bellatrix like that.
Percy coming back and refusing to leave Fred.
The fact that the twins demonstrate their forgiveness of Percy by insulting him.
Minerva McGonagall in every scene she was in.
Luna's little "distraction" so Harry could be away from the crowd.
Dumbledore's last line to Harry in this book.

Fun stuff:
Harry being affectionately exasperated with the other two members of the trio when intense snogging was going on.
Kreacher changing the way he did and Ron taking gleeful advantage of the fact.
Hermione's explosion at Ron upon his return.
Hermione really can't cook. (although I'm not sure that the boys can either)
Neville's grandmother. *giggle* Just perfect. "He's still at St. Mungo's..."
George's puns after his injury (he puns, therefore we know he'll be okay)

Annoying stuff:
Not actually knowing how Tonks and Remus died. Just one line would have sufficed...someone telling Harry how it happened, maybe.
I really, really wanted to know that George was going to be okay. I mean, with that huge family, he'd not be alone, but still...
I know that Ron had to leave and then come back, but I was sitting there thinking "No, please tell me he's back soon" and being tempted to skip ahead to check. Which I did, and then went back and read it properly.

Well, "duh" moment:
Neville took the place of Professor Sprout at Hogwarts.
