Hey, musesrealm, and just in time for our mutual Roman admiration society, the Roman coins I ordered in eBay arrived five minutes ago! Five coins that have the twins and the wolf on one side and an emperor on the other (I have to go check to see which one...) Great details and my students should be fascinated to examine and hold them (with gloves on, of course).

Sweet! That's so awesome!

I got a wax tablet with stylus, a talis game, and some dress fibulae in the mail on Saturday (while I was gone) from La Wren's Nest (http://www.lawrensnest.com/). But I don't yet own any coins.

Depending on where you are in California, there may be a group of Roman reenactors around that you could join up with, or at least meet. This page (http://www.romanempire.net/romepage/Links/roman_reenactment_groups.htm) has a long list of groups.

Woah. I could spend a lot at that site. Won't right now, though, as I need to save up for Ren Faire. Sigh. I think I could make a fibula correctly, though, if I stare at that photo long enough and fiddle with some silver wire I have. (Well, there goes another of my afternoons this week...)
