It's different, this job. A boss who supports me but there's also a teachers' union backing me. So I know that the evaluation process is fair and that no one can do what some have done to me in the past.

This was the first goal-setting meeting I've been to for this new job, and it felt good. No panic attack, and that's different too. I just didn't feel sick or anything like that beforehand, either.

I think it will be a while before I feel completely safe, but it was a good day.

Except for the kid I had to kick out of detention for being disruptive. I mean, how hard do you want to work at getting in trouble to get kicked out of detention, for heaven's sake????? Sigh.
