- a little kestrel swooped down over my car to grab something, probably a pigeon, and as it was at sunset, it was all shadowy against the colors in the sky...
- mashed potatoes with celery root in it (one of my favorite winter dishes)
On the dark side today:
- third break-in at my school, with computers stolen from each room. Stealing from kids?!!!!! And the first one broken into was the Special Education room for kids with disabilities. Sheesh (and a few swear words in Yiddish, Gaelic, and Klingon).
-HUGE "controlled" burn on the other side of the hill today, resulting in clouds of smoke all the way where I live and teach, resulting in three tired, wheezy people at home tonight, with red and irritated eyes
