Oh for cryin' out loud. Teenage boys can be stupid. Although most of you already know that.
Two of my students got caught stealing computers. Not particularly good at keeping secrets, they showed them off to other kids, and so therefore got caught. I am so utterly disappointed in both of them - especially since it was all apparently on a dare. Brains? Free will? So not a teenage thing. Suspensions now, and possible expulsions, potential juvenile detention and court cases even. At least the machines were found, so we're not short computers.
Long, stupid day. Including having a sort of state inspection team wandering around from class to class...they look in your room for fifteen minutes and then have constructive criticism, which y'know, they can do after only a snippet of time with no explanation or in-depth observation. ??? But at least the person in question liked the lesson and was impressed with it.
On the other hand, my own personal observation went well and my boss liked what he saw this time as much as the last one.
Grades are turned in and TWO MORE DAYS UNTIL VACATION. Whimper...

Date: 2007-12-21 02:05 am (UTC)And they weren't exactly competent thieves or anything. It was a dare, after all, and teenagers' brains don't actually have the ability to forsee the consequences of their actions until around 21. Or 41 for some. :)
