Sign of the apocalypse?

Should I be terrified? My father has discovered Torchwood, and likes it. According to my sister, he says that there are horrible bits of acting on occasion (he's watching season 1) and some iffy writing once in a while, but that it's fun and he doesn't care. I'm almost afraid to ask him what he thinks, except that he'll be here tomorrow and we've finally hit the point of being able to have adult conversations about science fiction where he only teases me about being a fangirl a teeny little bit. :)
