Aug. 3rd, 2008 12:14 pmOh, perfect! As with her last "Extra" book in the Potter universe, J.K. Rowling's "Tales of Beedle the Bard" is all for a kids' charity. :)
Daughter and I went to an Irish Ceili last night (party with dance and music) and I was part of the live band. Fun, much appreciation from the dancers, organic strawberries on the refreshments table, and splitting the tips for the musicians. Managed not to crack up out loud when the caller announced that in the next bit, "whoever's the top should cross over"- mind in the gutter? Possibly. Glad I wasn't dancing, as I wouldn't have ever been able to keep track of the steps. Darling daughter had this nine year old boy as a partner for a set dance and just about strangled him. She came over to me at the end of the set dance grumbling about boys who can't focus and just want to flail around. *giggle*
