Aug. 22nd, 2008 04:35 pmMy Friday List: The Good, the Bad, and the Weird
1. SGA is ending?!?! I get it, but still... sadness in this house over that.
2 I survived the first full week of the school year. Some good groups of kids.
3. Less good? The classes are still too big and the district won't let us hire another couple of teachers until we've proven we're overcrowded. Um, the kids could tell them that we are?
4. We had a truly awesome collaborative rehearsal with the dancers last night, and the pieces we're performing with them in December at the big math conference are going to be amazingly cool.
5. Found the $100 shoes I wanted that don't hurt me feet on eBay for $44.
6. One of the bookstores downtown now carries Torchwood Magazine. :)
7. There is a baby pigeon in a nest near the front of the A/C pipes that lead to my classroom and when he or she is hungry, we can ALL hear it. So much for silent reading time...
8. Pete, Fran, and Philippa are writing the Hobbit script!!!!!!!
9. I'll be singing at a memorial Mass this coming week, which I've never done (only been in a Catholic church once in my life for an actual service), so that will be interesting and sad and intense.
10. My little sister is all settled in at her new job (across the country - whimper) and is a Professor of Music! Wow.
