(no subject)

*grin* After all my sewing this week (and one more button-replacement to go tonight after grading papers), my 7 year old daughter has decided to take up sewing. She's had some practice at school during projects, and managed to sew a mostly straight seam on a tiny blanket for one of her model horses. :) I only had to untangle the thread twice, which isn't bad, really.

We didn't spend as much time relaxing yesterday because we ended up rescuing an injured sea gull from the beach and taking it to the native wildlife folks. And you know an animal is miserable when it's that easy to capture and put into a box. Hopefully, they can rehabilitate it...

Back to work tomorrow. Sigh.
