Relaxing a little, with good news...
Feb. 22nd, 2008 08:50 pmThe doctor thinks my daughter has side-effects from a virus that inflamed her insides and it should clear up in another week-ish. He's pretty sure, as his own daughter has been recovering from something similar; apparently, it's a respiratory virus that moves down. And I may have in fact had the same last year when I was in Urgent Care and they couldn't figure it out. I guess this is a relatively new sort of virus that's getting more common. Food allergies are still on the "watch it" list, so we're being extra careful that a reaction isn't making things worse.
So now we wait, and feed her, as she says, "boring food".
Many thanks for the well-wishes for those who read my panicked rant - it's just been rather exhausting and there's been a distinct lack of sleep around here, so hopefully, things will get better slowly and the constant pain will go away.
And she rests and reads a lot of books.
Tonight, I began a new one at bedtime, as we read aloud to her before bed. "In a hole in the ground, there lived a hobbit..."
:) :) :) !!!!! (dance of joy)
And an extra goodie for the day - I got a really, really good evaluation from admin and my boss in particular, and am getting to skip a year of the probationary status. Did I just "skip a grade"? Heh.
